Recently on my Ig stories I asked the question 'can you ever get enough check?!' As it turns out you can. I'm currently trying to steer away from check print as I've featured it in virtually every post recently. So this blog post is going to be my ode to check print as I attempt to leave it behind (at least for a couple weeks).
I remember a few years ago wanting to be Cher Horowitz for Halloween basically every year and I could never find anything check! Now that all my clueless dreams have been realised I've gone a little over the top!
If you aren't a fan of print, check and stripes are the easiest prints to wear. Even if you just get a super fine check blazer the subtle print gives much more depth to a piece. This is why I can wear two different check prints in one look pretty easily.
The two prints here are also monochrome, I tried to wear my pink check leggings with this coat and it just didn't work wearing one monochrome check and a coloured check together.
However these pink leggings are amazing! Obviously it was snowing like crazy so I styled these with a white turtle neck and a teddy coat. But I can't wait to wear these with a black crop top in the summer.
Check has been a huge trend since autumn. You could even argue that with gingham being last summers 'it' print that check has been the main trend on the fashion scene since then! It's also not going anywhere, check is only going to get bigger this spring so it's worth investing in a few trend pieces. I am someone who tends to fall madly in love with a particular trend however that isn't the same as wearing absolutely everything that's having a fashion moment. I like to pick the trends I feel go with my style, have longevity and most of all look amazing! That being said here's a few of my favourite check pieces:
P.S. If this much check isn't enough for you, have a peak at any of my latest blog posts or Instagram posts. I'm not kidding, check is heavily featured in ALL my content at the moment! xx
